Unlike all of our hyaluronic acid-based fillers, Sculptra® is a collagen-stimulating filler that uses an active ingredient called poly-L-lactic acid designed to stimulate collagen production.
This filler is an effective option for those who want to force areas of their face and neck to produce natural collagen to combat wrinkles, fill in hollow spaces, and smooth facial folds. Results take time as you stimulate your body to produce natural collagen. The best results typically appear after six weeks. Still, you will achieve some immediate results post-injection due to the plumping effect of the product.
In most cases, patients need 2-3 "building" treatments about five weeks apart and 1-2 treatments yearly to maintain their results. There is a possibility that Sculptra® effects will last up to two years or even longer!

Am I a good candidate for Sculptra®?
Most patients can benefit from Sculptra® to provide additional volume on the face and neck to help smooth wrinkles and folds.
When will I see the results after my Sculptra® treatment?
The treatment area(s) may appear more volumized after your treatment due to swelling. The swelling should subside within a few days, making it appear as though nothing had happened. The effects usually begin to show after three weeks. After your Sculptra® injections, your results will continue to improve for about three months.
How long do the results of Sculptra® typically last?
Sculptra® is FDA-approved to last up to two years but may last longer.
Will I have any downtime after a Sculptra® treatment?
Sculptra® does not cause downtime; however, temporary swelling, redness, and bruising may occur.
